So I have been working on my book and its coming along slowly. Finished chapter 1 about a month ago and though I don't think it is too bad after reading some other books I just don't think it is exciting enough. So I have decided that I need to spice up the story a little bit. However that is easier than it sounds. Though I have the basic story down originally I had planned to have only one plot line with one main character but I have found I like stories with diverging story lines much better. This is to be a fantasy novel and I really haven't used any fantastical themes yet. Mostly it is just the story of a boy thief who gets caught forced into the army and becomes a master at the art of war.
I need to add magic into the mixture as well as some cryptozoological beings like elves or trolls or something like that which I really have not put to much thought into. I also need to come up with a magical system that is original or at the very least not done so many times that it is boring to the reader.
I need to take the time and sit down with my story and add a magical lining to it. Coming up with a good story is harder than actually writing the book I think. Sitting down and writing is much easier than I thought it would be. Writing a good story that is entertaining is the hard part.

Thinking about doing this diet:
DAY 1: At 8am, noon, 4pm, and 8pm eat as much of any vegetable as you want, in any combination. You don’t have to eat at those exact times, but spread out the four meals as evenly as possible. Drink 100 ounces of water.
DAYS 2-4: Eat vegetables at the same four times each day but add in 20 grams of protein from fish, chicken, lean beef, turkey, eggs or seafood at 8am and 4pm meals. This equates to 3-4 ounces of fish, chicken, lean beef, turkey, or seafood or 3-4 whole eggs at those two meals. Drink 100 ounces of water.
DAYS 5-7: At 8am, noon, 4pm, and 8pm eat vegetables in any combination and quantity and have 20 grams of protein (3-4 ounces) from fish, chicken, lean beef, turkey, seafood or 3-4 eggs at each meal. Drink 100 ounces of water.
This diet is supposed to help you get ripped and it is only for seven days. I think I am going to try it starting this Sunday. Interestingly enough it says no supplements. I am going to take a before and after picture to see how effective this is.
One of the people that commented on this plan said that they lost 11 pounds in seven days without lifting weights. They're only work out was walking and biking in the evening. Hey its worth a shot.
